| USGBC's 2007 Competition registration is LIVE! The USGBC Natural Talent 2007 Design Competition provides an applied learning experience in the principles of integrated design, sustainability, innovation, and social consciousness; all of which are components of the LEEDTM Green Building Rating System. Participants will compete in a local competition, the top winner of which will move on to compete for a $5,000 national award at Greenbuild, Chicago 2007. | Cascadia EGB Mission: To provide students and young professionals affordable resources for integrating into the green building industry as qualified and active members to further advance the green building movement. 2006 Goals Integrate the EGB with the local Chapter Host a local 2007 Natural Talent Design Competition Provide 5 educational events/program oppurtunities before 2007 Initiate involvement with local universities on a programing level Partner with organizations with similar goals in the community Methods Provide educational events sponsored by local firms in green building Facilitate green building tours for hands on educational opportunities Develop a pricing structure with local chapter for EGB rates and benefits Create a supportive network within the green building industry Support internship/job programs for young professionals and students Provide educational resources on green building and LEED accreditation Document processes for national EGB case studies and toolkits |
