The USGBC Natural Talent 2007 Design Competition provides an applied learning experience in the principles of integrated design, sustainability, innovation, and social consciousness; all of which are components of the LEEDTM Green Building Rating System.  Participants will compete on the local level in the Cascadia competition, the top winner of which will move on to compete for a national award at Greenbuild Chicago 2007. Awards include Green Building Scholarships as well as travel and registration to Greenbuild, the USGBC’s Annual Green Building Conference and Expo, where finalists’ entries will be displayed and where final judging will occur.  Greenbuild 2007 will be held in Chicago, IL, November, 2007.

To qualify individuals or teams can be from ANY Discipline (multi-disciplinary teams are encouraged) and must be comprised of University level students or young professionals within 5 years of graduation (Teams can be made up of no more than 5 people).   There is a $35 registration fee that will go towards individual EGB membership ($35), and a subscription to Building Green for an entire year (much more than $35) to help aid teams in their research. Individuals must submit registration fee and membership application to the Cascadia Chapter as well as register their projects with USGBC.
