Vancouver, British Columbia Branch
Established in Spring 2001, the Vancouver Branch of the Cascadia Chapter gives members and potential members a place to network and learn about green building in the Greater Vancouver area.
Agendas include subcommittee reports, and updates on chapter and national business. With a strong educational focus, presentations are given from area professionals implementing LEED and related topics. Attendees are encouraged to participate in these subcommittees:
- The Advocacy Committee, dedicated to having LEED adopted as the appropriate green building standard for British Columbia governments, building owners, developers and institutions.
- The Education Committee, which provides networking opportunities and sponsors strategic partnerships with other local organization.
- The LEED BC Committee, which is working with the US Green Building Council to customize LEED and the LEED Technical Guide for the British Columbia marketplace.
Meetings last about 90 minutes and begin with a brown-bag lunch at noon on the second Wednesday of every other month. Electronic invitations and reminders are sent to notify member organizations of upcoming meetings.
For more information about branch meetings see the Events Calendar.
