Seattle Branch Programs Include:

Quarterly Lecture Series meetings highlight pertinent Green Building issues. The series is designed to offer members and potential members a place to network and learn about green building in the Puget Sound area. Agendas include updates on chapter and national business. Presentations with a strong educational focus are given by area green building professionals representing various industries.

Seattle LEED User Group or “SLUG” meetings give LEED Users the opportunity to learn from each other, and featured speakers, in presentation and open discussion of LEED issues. Meetings are currently the 2nd Tuesday of each month at the Seattle Integrated Design Lab (IDL) on Capital Hill. These meetings are free, with a suggested donation of $1 for the continental breakfast.

Building Tours. During the summer, we identify premier examples of Green Building in the Central Puget Sound area and organize informative tours of these venues that showcase some of the best green practices in the region.

Emerging Green Builders or “EGB” is an outreach program to students and recently graduated young professionals wanting to learn more about green building. Please see the chapter website for more information.

Special Events. The Seattle Branch also provides volunteers and supports events of partner organizations that share our objectives to further sustainable development in the region.
