Topic: Regionalism credit for LEED 2009
LEED 2009 will include four bonus points for credits in NC, CS, CI and EB/OM that address regional environmental concerns. The USGBC has asked each region to identify their critical environmental concerns, define environmental zones and select LEED credits for each zone that best address these issues. Alan Scott from Green Building Services is serving on the Pacific Region task force and will present the concept of regional credits and progress by the Pacific Region and then solicit feedback on the approach for Oregon.
*Note: PLUG will meet on a Wednesday this month, contrary to its regular schedule.
The Portland LEED User's Group (PLUG) meets on the second Thursday of every month from 12:00 - 1:30 pm, to discuss topics related to the U.S. Green Building Council's Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Rating System. Attendees of these meetings represent many disciplines within Portland's green building community, and new attendees are always is welcome.
