High Performance Building Program and Building Metering
- Update on changes to the BC Hydro High Performance Building Program
- Commissioning, training and behaviour aspects of energy management
- The importance of demand side management
- Building Energy Metering
- 15 minutes of LEED Users “clinic”
Presentations will cover the basics of:
Changes to the BC Hydro High Performance Building Program that will include recognition for commissiong, training and behaviour aspects. Presentations will also include eletrical and water metering technologies.
The session will be followed by an open clinic for those with technical LEED questions.

PRESENTERS:
Luis Damy | High Performance Building Program Manager | BC Hydro
Luis
is the Program Manager for the High Performance Building Program at BC
Hydro Power Smart. Luis has over 12 years experience in process
re-engineering, project management and product
development/implementation. Prior to BC Hydro, Luis was a senior
project manager at IBM and most recently with TELUS Business Solutions.
He holds an MBA from the University of British Columbia specializing in
Strategic Management, a Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering and a
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering.
Tom Owen | Systems Engineer | Small Energy Group
Tom’s
current work focuses on helping clients identify opportunities for
energy management and implementing infrastructure for energy management
on client sites. He has worked with clients ranging
from a
government ministry to Hartley Bay, a remote, o-grid community of 160
people on BC's north coast. Small Energy Group is a Vancouver based
software company that makes web-based energy management software for
commercial and institutional buildings.
