Participants will learn about insulated rammed earth, thermal mass and other benefits of rammed earth. Beyond that, Clifton will discuss energy choices and other healthy materials to use in a sustainable home, including low VOC materials.
Bio - Clifton is a green building professional specializing in rammed earth construction and design in Vancouver, Victoria and Salt Spring Island, B.C. Canada. His vision is to create environments that are beautiful, artistic and sustainable. Clifton believes that both design and construction of a building must be intimately connected to bring maximum benefit to both people and the environment. Beyond rammed earth his ambition is to become an eco-developer and influence society on a larger scale.

LOCATION
Light House: Sustainable Building Centre is located at 1575
Johnston Street, just East of the Public Market in the heart of
Granville Island. Our centre is on the second floor and accessible via
the glass door and staircase on the Southwest corner of the building.
