The air quality inside a home can greatly impact your customer’s health and enjoyment of their home. For these reasons, and many others, indoor air quality is a high priority in the construction of sustainable homes. Options like air filtration systems, controlled ventilation and low-toxic building materials help keep the air inside a home clean by reducing the possibility of drawing unwanted air from a home’s attic, basement, crawl spaces, and garage. Improved ventilation delivers the right amount of fresh air to help minimize moisture problems and reduce common household odors. This training offers a description of best practices in improving indoor air quality for residential new construction projects.
