The new sales building for Kendall Toyota is seeking at least a LEED– Gold certification under the LEED Rating System.  Green building attributes include a rainwater collection system that service for landscape irrigation and carwashing, complete retention of stormwater runoff on site, a photovoltaic system that provides up to 30% of the buildings electrical need, highly efficient building mechanical system.

The Eugene Branch of the Cascadia Region Green Building Council is pleased to host a tour of this newest addition to the roster of LEED Certified projects in our area.  Biking, bussing and carpooling are encouraged.  The site is easily accessible from the bike trails along the Willamette River, and LTD’s bus lines #66 and #67 pass in front of the site.

Please RSVP to eugene(at)cascadiagbc.org.

Also, if you are a member of the Cascadia Region Green Building Council, please be sure to bring your “Cascadia Passport” and receive a stamp for attendance to this event, leading to savings in future Cascadia workshops and conferences throughout the region.
