Topic: LEED certified buildings performance study
Presenter: Cathy Turner, New Buildings Institute

Cathy Turner, Senior Analyst at the New Buildings Institute, will discuss the findings from NBI's study of the measured energy performance of 121 LEED buildings, all of which have been occupied for at least one year. The data showed that on average, LEED buildings are delivering the anticipated energy savings, but the study also revealed the wide variability amond individual building results and indicated significant potential for further improvement.

The Portland LEED User's Group (PLUG) meets on the second Thursday of every month from 12:00 - 1:30 pm, to discuss topics related to the U.S. Green Building Council's Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Rating System.  Attendees of these meetings represent many disciplines within Portland's green building community, and new attendees are always is welcome.
