About the Presenters

Steve Kokes, President of Coates Kokes, a Portland-based marketing firm, has for the past decade, acquired a particular expertise in working with a variety of clients with at least one foot in the door of sustainability.  His agency developed a new recycling campaign for Metro after having originally introduced curbside and office paper recycling to the region years ago.  Steve also launched the Northwest Energy Efficiency's BetterBricks program and continues to guide its communications today. Other "green" clients include The Clean Rivers and Streams Coalition, the University of Oregon in Portland and The Vancouver Hilton & Convention Center (one of the first LEED hotels in the country).

Peter Andrews is a broker with Melvin Mark Brokerage Company, the oldest family-owned commercial real estate services company in Oregon. Peter is on the One Waterfront Place team marketing the 12-story, Class A office building in the River District that will be the first multi-tenant office tower to seek LEED Platinum certification.
