Nevada Passes LEED Legislation

Portland and Multnomah County Seek New Members for Sustainable Development Commission. Applications will be reviewed beginning Aug. 1 and appointees selected soon after. Commissioners serve two-year terms. More info. Application: www.sustainableportland.org.

Building Envelope Design Guide Released Federal agencies have contracted the National Institute of Building Sciences (NIBS) to develop a comprehensive guideline for the exterior building envelope design and construction of institutional and office buildings. More info

IRS Seeks Funding Applicants under the "Green Bonds" provision passed by Congress last year. Funding limited to very large projects -- at least 1 million square feet or 20 acres – that follow green building criteria. More info
